Pulled Pork Baos

iNGREDIENTS:

  • 2kg boneless pork shoulder

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely diced

  • 1/2 cup tamari + 1 tbsp

  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos

  • 2 tsp coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp sriracha

  • 2 tsp chinese 5 spice

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

TO SERVE:

  • 8 bao buns

  • Coleslaw

  • Mayonaisse

  • Coriander

METHOD:

  1. Add all pork ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.

  2. Before serving, shred the pork using two forks.

  3. Heat the bao buns according to packets instructions.

  4. While these cook, mix the coleslaw, mayo and coriander together.

  5. Once bao buns are cooked, assemble and enjoy!

DF - serves 6 with some meat left over
