Tuna Sushi
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sushi rice
2 cups water
FILLING:
425g tuna chunks in springwater
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 small carrot grated
1 lebanese cucumber, sliced
1 avocado, sliced
1 spring onion, sliced
4 nori sheets
Tamari to serve
METHOD:
Cook rice to packet instructions. Let cool so you can assemble.
While the rice cooks, add the tuna and mayonnaise into a bowl and mix together.
Once the rice is cool enough, place the nori sheet shiny side down on the bamboo mat.
Apply a thin layer of rice leaving a couple centimeters top and bottom.
Now assemble all the ingredients by placing them in a horizontal line 1/4 way up from the bottom.
Carefully start to roll up from the bottom, tucking in as you go.
When you get to the end leave a small clear space on the nori sheet. Wet your finger and wet along the end. Now roll to the end.
Slice and enjoy by dipping in a little tamari.
