Caramelised Apple Porridge

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup quick oats (GF if needed)

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup*

  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon


    CARAMELISED APPLE:

  • 1/2 apple peeled and cubed

  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp coconut sugar

  • Pinch of salt

GF, DF + VE* - serves 1

METHOD

  1. Add all porridge ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes or until soft and most of the liquid is absorbed.

  2. While this cooks, add all caramelised apple ingredients into a frypan and fry until soft and golden.

  3. Pour porridge into a bowl, top with caramelised apple.
