Caramelised Apple Porridge
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup quick oats (GF if needed)
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup*
1/4 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon
CARAMELISED APPLE:1/2 apple peeled and cubed
1/2 tbsp coconut oil
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp coconut sugar
Pinch of salt
GF, DF + VE* - serves 1
METHOD
Add all porridge ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes or until soft and most of the liquid is absorbed.
While this cooks, add all caramelised apple ingredients into a frypan and fry until soft and golden.
Pour porridge into a bowl, top with caramelised apple.
