Slow Cooker Pea and Ham Soup
INGREDIENTS:
1.5kg ham hock
1 small onion, finely diced
2 large garlic cloves, finely diced
1 large carrot, peeled and diced
2 celery stalks, diced
1 cup cauliflower (I needed to use it up and it worked very well)
2 bay leaves
500g green split peas
2 tsp bone broth (optional)
8 cups water
Salt and pepper (season lightly)
Chopped parsley to top (optional)
METHOD:
Add all ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
